Talks and practical sessions to aid budding musicians hoping to carve out a career in the increasingly competitive and rapidly-changing music business. General talks open to all Kingston University students (although the smaller more practical sessions will be for music alumni only).

Online performance: Twin Cities – The Hero’s Journey


An innovative multimedia online performance devised and presented by Kingston University students and staff, and performed simultaneously in Kingston and Amsterdam. Available free to live and online audiences.

This concert will follow the Hero's Journey through live, pre-recorded and interactive music (choral, digital and solo), dance, and multimedia. Directed, simultaneously in both cities, by Dr. David Osbon, this event will be yet another truly amazing experience from Kingston University School of Performance and Screen Studies!

This dramatic, colourful and popular work began life as a single movement, Libera me, part of a collaborative requiem by 13 Italian composers in memory of Rossini.  When the poet Manzoni died, Verdi added his own remaining movements.

Thames Philharmonic Choir welcomes new members at any time. Rehearsals take place weekly on Tuesdays at 7.30pm at alternating venues.
