Open House London 2012
Saturday 22 September 2012, 1:00pm
As part of Open House London 2012, Kingston University's School of Civil Engineering & Construction is opening its doors to visitors on Saturday, 22 September, to reveal how civil engineers shape the world around us – and to inspire the next generation of civil engineers.
This free festival has been sponsored by the Institution of Civil Engineers to promote the vital role of the civil engineer in maintaining the capital's infrastructure – and they have asked Kingston University to get involved.
For our part, this exciting one day event includes a welcome lecture, a campus and laboratory tour, the Lego bridge-building challenge and an engineering quiz. What's more, visitors get the chance to chat to current students and researchers. It's an ideal event for sixth-form students/A-level students interested in pursuing a career in civil engineering.
Venue: Lecture Room JG 0001, Kingston University, Penryhn Road campus, KT1 2EE
Time: 1pm – 4pm
To attend: Please Register online by Wednesday 19 September 2012
(Free parking is available on site)
