The deadline to book your tickets is Tuesday 21 February 2012.

You cannot graduate while you have any unpaid fees or charges to the University (this includes library fines). Getting tickets

It might seem a bit strange that you have to get tickets to your own graduation, but we need to know numbers to make sure there's enough space and facilities for everyone who wants to attend.

Your ticket is, of course, free. Tickets for family and friends are not. Either way, you must book all your tickets by the deadlines given. No exceptions. Miss the deadline and you can't attend. Travel bookings should not be made until you have secured your tickets...

Once you have booked your tickets, remember to order your gown.

How to book your tickets

Graduate tickets are free of charge. But you still have to apply for a ticket to attend your ceremony.

Guest tickets are £23 per person (including VAT), which includes children aged three years and over. Children aged two years and under are eligible for a complimentary ticket.

Please note: if you need a ticket for a child aged two years and under, this ticket will be inclusive of your ticket allowance, for example if you have a limit of four guest tickets and need a complimentary ticket for a child aged two years and under, you will only be able to purchase three guest tickets and one complimentary child ticket. You can find out more about the dos and don'ts of children and graduation ceremonies in our FAQs.

  • Your date of birth (in the format: dd/mm/yyyy)

Guest tickets

Some ceremonies have more graduates eligible to attend them than others, so the number of guest tickets vary between ceremonies. However, every graduate will be able to purchase at least two guest tickets initially. If you need more, you can choose to be added to a waiting list for extra tickets.

Extra guest tickets: if extra guest tickets are available after the booking deadline, you will be notified by email a couple of days after the deadline date. Please make sure you have ticked the box to be included on the waiting list when booking your tickets.

When you're booking please provide details of any special requirements for you or your guests, such as mobility difficulties. If we don't know your requirements in advance, we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to accommodate them on the day. You can also read access information for each venue.

Important: When logging in please do not use the letter K when asked to enter your ID number, just use the first seven numbers.
