Academic Registry

The Academic Registry is responsible for:

  • supporting the Senate and its sub-committees;
  • maintaining the University's academic regulations; and
  • overseeing academic policies and procedures, and for supporting quality and standards in the University's academic provision, including collaborative provision.

The department is also responsible for the administration of the University's examinations, administering centrally programmed teaching and meeting space, and administering student academic appeals at the formal level.

The Academic Registrar's Office has responsibility for:

Quality Assurance and Enhancement

This team has responsibility for implementing and monitoring the academic quality assurance procedures and academic regulations of the University, including:

Examinations

This team is responsible for the University's centrally organised examination process for all formal written, taught course examinations. This includes:

  • scheduling examinations and producing timetables;
  • receiving and printing examination papers;
  • recruiting, training and allocating invigilators;
  • organising and administering modified examinations arrangements (MEA); and
  • advising on examination event-related matters.

This team is responsible for allocating centrally programmed teaching and meeting rooms.
