E-learning strategy
There is no stand-alone strategy for e-learning/technology enhanced learning, but rather the key goals are integrated into the institution's Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy (PDF). The ADC continually reviews national and international strategies, policies and reviews, and their implications for the institution.
Important national and international documents include:
- HEFCE (2009), Enhancing Learning and Teaching Through the Use of Technology: A Revised Approach to HEFCE's Strategy for E-Learning;
- JISC (2009), Higher Education in a Web 2.0 World: Report of an Independent Committee of Inquiry into the Impact on Higher Education of Students' Widespread Use of Web 2.0 Technologies;
- Bradwell, P. (2009), The Edgeless University; and
- Johnson, L., Levine, A., Smith, R. and Stone, S. (2010), The 2010 Horizon Report, Austin, Texas: The New Media Consortium.
