New StudySpace
All existing content has been migrated to the new StudySpace in advance of the system going live to students on 23 January 2012.
What's new?
We've improved the StudySpace interface so you'll need fewer clicks to complete a task. We've also enhanced many existing tools and added new ones, like mobile access, better desktop video conferencing and podcasting, video-enhanced instant messaging, drag and drop from the PC desktop and the import/export of standards-based resources.
A summary of the new features in StudySpace and related environments is provided in the following summary guide: Key tools and new features (PDF).

Blackboard has produced a range of high-quality, closed captioned videos that take users through all of the main tools:
- Building your site (eg uploading files)
- Interactive and communications tools (eg announcements, discussion boards)
- Assessment tools (eg creating tests, using the assignment tool)
Additional Blackboard help resources are available from the Blackboard website.
Staff development
A comprehensive programme of development events are available to support staff in easing the transition to the upgraded StudySpace and related technologies. Please see staff development.
