Staff development
Staff development focuses on the use of technologies to enhance learning, teaching and assessment while supporting the goals of our Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy (PDF)
Getting up to speed with new StudySpace
The priority for staff development sessions this year is easing the transition from the current version of StudySpace (based on Blackboard 8) to the new version (based on Blackboard 9.1).
Staff development sessions can be booked online or please contact Anne Law in the Academic Development Centre.
Using classroom technologies in the new Kingston Business School
All classrooms in the new Kingston Business School (KBS) have been equipped with interactive screens and digital visualisers. A series of 30-minute staff development sessions have been organised to introduce staff to these technologies. All sessions will run in KHBS335. Please see the schedule below

Sustainable Enhancement, Review and Action Programme (SARA)
Effectively integrating technologies into learning, teaching and assessment may involve a wider consideration of:
- pedagogic approaches; and
- the use of virtual and physical spaces.
To support module and course teams in this, the Educational Technology Team works closely with colleagues across the ADC to deliver the Sustainable Enhancement, Review and Action Programme (SARA).
We also run additional staff development events in collaboration with faculties to meet their specific requirements.
