What is the ADC?
The Academic Development Centre (ADC) provides a strategic lead and vision on learning, teaching and assessment, particularly through the development and strategic implementation of the University's Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy. The ADC leads on:
- the development of academic policy and strategy for educational technology infrastructure, including its academic implementation and embedding;
- the development and strategic implementation of the University's widening participation strategic assessment; and
- policy and strategy for workforce development.
The Centre also offers the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in HE, which is a requirement for staff with fewer than three years teaching experience or who do not already hold a teaching qualification.
Structure of the ADC
The Academic Development Centre is led by a director (Michael Hill) and two deputy directors (Marion Webb and Tim Linsey).
