The in-class use of mobile technologies to support diagnostic assessment.

The R³ project was a Higher Education Academy funded project conducted to research the in-classroom use of mobile technologies to support formative assessment and feedback. The mobile technologies used were Electronic Voting Systems, Tablet PC’s in combination with wireless data projectors, interactive tablets, ipods and mobile phones.

Thirteen academic staff members from 7 different faculties used a series of mobile technologies in the classroom for formative assessment purposes and to provide rapid feedback to students on their knowledge and understanding.

Further details, including briefing papers, reports and presentations, can be found on the project website.
