Widening Participation
As part of the University's Quality Enhancement Strategy, the ADC manages the implementation of the University's Widening Participation Strategy. In this role, the Centre works with staff within the university (in faculties and central departments), in engaging with all aspects of the strategy.
Inclusion
Everyone, regardless of social origins, gender, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin or prior educational attainment, has the potential to benefit from higher education. But participation is still highly unequal despite half a century of rapid expansion. Moreover students from less privileged social classes (and minority groups) tend to be concentrated in less well funded (and so less highly regarded) institutions. Kingston University, therefore, is not only strongly opposed to all forms of discrimination but is actively committed to encouraging the widest possible participation in higher education and to offering all students a high-quality experience.
