Access information: there is level access into the Surrey County Council, County Hall via the main entrance and levels are mainly accessible by stairs and a lift.
Gowning services are located on the first floor down a short flight of stairs, and will be difficult for graduates with mobility issues to access. Stewards will be available on the day to assist with collecting gowns for graduates with mobility issues.
You can collect your gown from Surrey County Council, County Hall. There will be stewards and signs to help you find your way. Only graduates should enter the area where gowns are collected – there will be an area available for guests to wait while graduates collect their gowns.
Gown collection will be open from 8.00am* on the day of your ceremony. Please see below for information on the latest time by which you can collect your gown.

Return your gown after your ceremony at the Guildhall, opposite the Rose Theatre, which is also the venue for your ceremony reception. Gowns should be returned on the same day of your ceremony unless you make alternative arrangement directly with Ede & Ravenscroft. Please see the graduation information leaflet to find out the latest gown return times on the day of your ceremony.
Tempest, the official graduation photographers, will have studios located at Surrey County Council, County Hall.
Photography is always very busy, we advise you to arrive as early as possible to beat the queues and to take advantage of the priority timeslot for your ceremony.
If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, please make sure you arrive at the Rose Theatre at least 45 minutes before the start of your ceremony.

After your ceremony, come along to your ceremony reception. It is a great way to celebrate with your friends, family, academics and fellow graduates and is well deserved after all your hard work.
On arrival, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or a soft drink and light refreshments. The ceremony reception will be held on the first floor of the Guildhall (opposite the Rose Theatre). There will be graduation assistants available on the day to direct you.
Access information: ceremony receptions are located on the first floor of the Guildhall. There is wheelchair access available to graduates and/or guests. Staff will be available to assist on the day.
