Pass the torch
Inspire the next generation
The London 2012 games has hit the headlines, not only due to the efforts of the athletes – but because budding UK athletes were nominated to light the flame at the opening ceremony, instead of the usual sporting great. This sent out a very clear message – the objective of these games is the inspiration of the next generation.
In the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing, we need to inspire the next generation too. But whilst we can talk about course content, facilities and who teaches what – we need our graduates to talk about where their studies have taken them. So, will you pass the torch?
Tell us your story and help us to show future students what an undergraduate or postgraduate course can help them achieve. We'll feature a selection of your stories on our website to provide others with the inspiration to pursue their dream career – and ideas on the different routes available to reach it.
You never know, these stories may even inspire you too! Whether it's an MSc, research opportunity or complete career change – we can help. Find out more about funding your studies (including our 10% loyalty bursary) – and have a look at the courses we offer to help you achieve gold!
Keep up to date with what's happening in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing via our website and Facebook page. Why not add a post to tell us what you're doing too!
