Kingston hosts second annual alumni reception in Mumbai
The second annual alumni reception, hosted by Vice-Chancellor Julius Weinberg and attended by around 70 alumni from a range of disciplines, took place in Mumbai last month.
It was a special evening for Professor MK Desai, Director of SVKM's Institute of International Studies (Kingston's partner institution in Mumbai) who was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of Kingston Business School in recognition of his outstanding leadership in the development, implementation and management of the collaboration between SVKM and Kingston University.
Despite the humidity of Mumbai, Julius, Professor Desai and Professor Jean-Noel Ezingeard, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, wore traditional university gowns and caps, adding to the ceremony of the event.
The speeches and award ceremony were followed by a networking dinner, where alumni could reminisce about
times spent at Kingston and catch up with friends. Applicants for the September 2012 intake were also invited to join the occasion to gain an understanding of what studying at Kingston would be like.
We look forward to further events in India in the near future. If you want to see photos from the event we have an online photogallery to look through.
