John Tiner (Photo courtesy of the Financial Services Authority)John was CEO of Britain's city watchdog, the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) from 2003–07, having been a Managing Director since 2001. He worked for Arthur Andersen whilst studying at Kingston and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980. He rose rapidly to become a partner and managing partner before joining the FSA in 2001.

Since 2008, John has taken a number of directorships and advisory positions with major financial institutions in the private sector. He is also a Trustee of the British Urological Foundation and a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University Saïd Business School.
