About this course

Why choose this course?

This degree combines a thorough grounding in the key business disciplines and an optional work placement or study exchange abroad. It provides a balance of academic theory and practical application, equipping you with the skills to handle the challenges faced by today’s managers.

What will you study?

You will study the principles of economics and how they impact on business, law, and the role of accounting in business reporting and decision-making. You will then explore a range of business functions including human resource management, marketing and finance. In your final year you will focus on strategic issues; you can select your option modules to either specialise in a particular area of business or remain a generalist. Your studies combined with your work experience will develop your management, numeracy, communication and teamworking skills.

All our business courses have a shared first year so you can easily transfer to the second year of a different course if your interests change.
