The Careers & Employability team has undergone a restructure. Although we are still here to provide careers support to our students we are also keen to build stronger working relationships with major and local employers, to help our students to become more employable to provide them with all the skills and commercial awareness required by sectors and industry so that we are continuously helping to develop high calibre and cost effective graduates for the recruitment market.

Removing Barriers and Understanding what you need
Our main responsibility is to work with you to provide to provide access to target groups of students, to help you raise awareness of opportunities and schemes available within your organisation, so that you have a high number of high calibre candidates to choose from. This is why we are working to develop new and innovative ways to introduce student and employer relationships, and to work with you to understand your needs.
This is about helping students to build their knowledge and skills; it's about delivering whatever success looks like for graduates and the organisations that employ them.
Sharing Knowledge and Insights
We have insights and resources to share that fuel positive change, not only increasing the employability of our students, but also making a direct contribution to the recruitment issues faced by you as employers, and absence of specific skills and knowledge in specific roles.
We offer all kinds of opportunities to share information, experience and knowledge and we can offer all sorts of platforms to those who want to make a difference. We have various events that are planned to take place over the academic year as well as industry insights, presentations and some lively debates.
Turning this into Results
Each Faculty has an employability Coordinator dedicated to ensuring that its students 'employability skills' are in line with the industry. We offer a range of services and support and with a dedicated team you can tap into exactly what you need.
