Funding available for SMEs who hire interns

Graduate2business (g2b), the new Kingston initiative supported by the government's Economic Challenge Investment Fund, is funding projects and internships for unemployed HE and level 4 FE graduates living in the Kingston area.

Graduates may be new or recent graduates straight out of university or college, available on a full-time basis as graduate interns, or they could be highly experienced professionals with years' of expertise in their field who are now, because of the downturn, in between jobs, and available on a freelance basis.

There's no catch - if you think you could use some support on projects or initiatives, we could help.

Projects could range from a few days to months, you get to choose the successful candidate, and the graduate2business service will fund all or a large part of the internship/project, depending on the size.

Employer help wanted for Kingston graduate jobseeker bootcamps

g2b is running a series of graduate jobseeker bootcamps that are open to recent graduates from any university. The bootcamps have already helped 150+ graduates prepare for the competitive graduate recruitment process. So what kind of employer help is wanted? The bootcamp involves a mock assessment centre, and takes place at the Kingston University Penrhyn Rd campus.  If you or any of your colleagues or staff could spare the odd hour to come and help put the graduates through their paces, we’d love to hear from you!
