Examinations and assessments

The University will make reasonable adjustments to examination and assessment arrangements for students with disabilities. Examples of adjustments include:

  • separate rooming and invigilation arrangements;
  • extra time; and
  • the use of specialist equipment.

If you think that you may require special examination arrangements of any kind, you will need to provide supporting evidence of your disability or specific learning difficulty to the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service. If you are unsure of what evidence to provide, please contact us.

Because the planning of examinations is done well in advance, you must notify and provide your supporting documents to the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service by no later than:

  • 31 October for undergraduate semester 1 examinations;
  • 27 February for undergraduate semester 2 examinations; and
  • the term/semester prior to your examination for postgraduate students.
