MSc in Geography (UBC)
PhD in Remote Sensing and Geography (Sheffield)

1999 - 2003 Visiting Lecturer in Geographical Information Systems, Luton University

Current Projects

Software

Cookie Cutter: ArcGIS python script that calculates material volumes from a digital elevation model based upon an input shapefile with digitized outlines (polygons) of the features of interest. Three current versions:
ArcGIS 9.2
ArcGIS 9.3
Development

Chi-Square Test: software that calculates both the equal-probability and equal-interval methods of the chi-squared statistic for small samples. Originally programmed in 1994 using C for DOS. If there are compatibility issues with Windows then please run it using DOSBox. The ZIP file contains the last two versions of the source code, the compiled EXE, documentation (TXT and PDF) a sample data file. None of the documentation has been updated since 1994.
Download

Field Spectroscopy Data Processing (beta/developmental): a selection of R scripts designed to process field spectroscopy data. Specficically, there are 2 main scripts: (1) plotting correlgrams for raw and first derivative spectra and (2) calculation of continuum removed spectra, with plots of BDNA and BDNC. The ZIP file contains the scripts themselves, explanatory text and some sample data. They are provided "as-is" and whilst the scripts have been bug tested, they may not operate as expected.
