Enjoy a visit to this rare, art-deco-inspired, artist's studio home and take a guided tour at one of the open days. Guided tours last about an hour and begin with a 10-minute film of Dora Gordine's life, before exploring the studios, gallery and private apartments, and the roof terrace. Family workshops are held at the Dorich House Museum in the half-term and Easter holidays. Bookings for family workshops are essential.

When the Museum opened in In 1904, Ernest Marsh, an affluent art collector and connoisseur from a wealthy Kingston family, organised the very first exhibition in the art gallery. A collector of fine and decorative arts, Marsh was particularly passionate about ceramics produced by the Martin Brothers – known as Martinware.

From bollards, bike stands to public benches these generally anonymously designed, often unnoticed, objects are the workhorses of the built environment.
