An evening with Elif Shafak

Elif Shafak is an award-winning novelist and the most widely read woman writer in Turkey. Her thirteen books include the novels The Mystic, Mirrors of the City, The Gaze, The Flea Palace, The Saint of Incipient Insanities, The Bastard of Istanbul, The Forty Rules of Love, and Honour and the non-fiction Black Milk, which explores the beauties and difficulties of being a writer and a mother. She is currently Senior Researcher in Creative Writing at Kingston University. Her first book of children's writing appears in 2014.
