Significance of the EU Competition Law and careers in the EU Commission

About the speaker

Christos Tsoumanis has worked at the European Commission, Directorate General for Competition, as a case handler in the case support and policy unit for Mergers and Antitrust since 2014. Prior to joining DG Competition, Christos worked at Clifford Chance LLP, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and the State Aid - Taskforce for financial crisis unit of DG Competition.

This is an excellent opportunity to find about the principles of competition law and its importance for the functioning of the free market economy. Christos will also talk about career opportunities and processes at the EU Commission.
