It is now common practice in the sector to use current university students to deliver activities and undertake work opportunities to promote the recruitment of undergraduates, to support the transition from school through to university and as part of the Widening Participation agenda, to raise aspirations and improve attainment amongst school pupils.
Learning from others and reflecting on our own experiences, the aim of the conference is to bring together staff and student colleagues to explore what elements can enhance the use of current students in activities engaging them as partners in co-delivery.
Our aim is to provide a platform for staff and students to consider and critique how influential Student Ambassador Schemes have been for other student developments and how they have been utilised for the benefit of the university and the communities they represent.
