Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
At this meeting and launch event, Rupa Huq will speak on her new L&W book On the Edge: The Contested Cultures of English Suburbia.
The book is on how suburbia ain't what it used to be post-downturn/ after recent migratory waves as evidenced in the census and how Labour/ all politicians/ academics need to take it seriously but it's usually instead just derided as naff/ safe/ boring/ respectable. See attached press release and final-final cover. The final corrections went off to typesetter the before Xmas so it's literally about to roll off the presses.
