'A Love of Illustration': Artefacts from the Brian Love archives

Throughout his career, Brian Love has been an active advocate of the power of illustration. As the creator and course director of Kingston University's illustration studies programme, Brian quickly established the course's international reputation and profoundly influenced generations of creative young minds during his 26 years at the University. Brian was recognised with an honorary fellowship of the University in 2013 for his outstanding contribution to his students and the evolution of the creative life of Kingston University.

Drawing on Brian Love's personal archives accrued during almost three decades connected to Kingston, as well as those held within the illustration and animation department, this exhibition will tell the story of how illustration and animation studies at Kingston evolved under Brian Love's guidance, featuring artwork, ephemera, films, and other objects connected to this fascinating subject.
