Benefits of the Compact Scheme

Information, advice and guidance

You will have a single point of contact to guide you through the various stages of your Kingston University journey. You can get in touch with us about any questions you may have about your university experience, from pre-application through to graduation.

Events

If you have applied for and been accepted on to the Compact Scheme you will be invited to attend Head Start, our three-day residential flagship summer school. If you are unable to commit to three days, you can attend our Head Start Express Day.

Before starting on your course, you will have the opportunity to attend exclusive welcome events to help ease your transition to university.

You will have access to a programme of activities throughout your time at university, covering topics such as study skills and employability, as well as specific sessions for mature learners.

Engagement

The Scheme links members to a range of extra-curricular employment and experience opportunities, some of which are only available to Compact Scheme students. These will help you get the most out of your student experience and gain valuable skills outside of your course.

Bursaries

We understand that finance may be something you are worried about, so if you are eligible for extra support through one of our bursaries, we want to make sure you know about it.

The Kingston University Bursary is available to students who meet specific criteria in addition to being a part of the Compact Scheme. If you are accepted onto the Compact Scheme, we will send you further details about the Bursary after 28 July 2017.

Care leavers also receive the £1,500 annual Care Leaver Bursary. If you think you may be eligible, please email m.griffiths@kingston.ac.uk.

How do I become part of the Compact Scheme?

It's really simple. All you need to do is fill out our online application form and we'll get in touch to confirm your place on the Scheme.
