Penrhyn Road

  • Which courses are studied there?
    Biological, forensic and sports sciences; pharmacy and chemistry; computing, games and media technologies; mathematics; geography, geology and environmental sciences – plus civil engineering, construction and surveying.
  • What is it like there?
    Penrhyn Road is in the heart of Kingston, about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. It has a lively and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Students from all campuses meet here as it homes the students' union headquarters and central facilities, such as the gym and health centre.
  • What resources are available?
    Practical work is a key part of our courses and you will learn with industry standard equipment in state-of the art scientific laboratories, crime scene house, nutrition kitchens, civil engineering workshops and games development labs. Check out our facilities and equipment.

    Remember that if you are studying at Penrhyn Road campus you can also access the University-wide study resources, such as the library and IT facilities.

Roehampton Vale

  • Which courses are studied there?
    Aerospace, and aircraft engineering, astronautics and space technology - plus mechanical, automotive and motorsport engineering
  • What is it like there?
    Our Roehampton Vale campus is exclusively for engineering students and has a real sense of community, with like-minded students always on hand for help and advice. It is also home to the KU e-Racing team who are rebuilding their electric bike to race again in the Zero TT and beat their UK Land Speed Record, as well as their electric car to race at Silverstone in the Formula Student competition. But if space is your thing, our Rocket Propulsion Group are based there too.
  • What resources are available?
    Roehampton Vale is home to specialist labs and facilities including rocket engine testing lab, machine and electrics lab, autolab with a range of bikes and cars, large-scale wind tunnels, a microgravity drop-tower, a flight simulator, a learjet and more. Check out our facilities and equipment.
