Kingston staff and students are brimming with wonderful ideas, that's why the Opportunities Fund is giving seed-corn funding to help get the right projects off the ground.

The Opportunities Fund helped our engineering students take part in the Formula Student competition, an initiative that tasks students to build and then race an actual electric car at Silverstone. Viewed by the motor industry as the standard for engineering graduates to meet, this is proving to be a wonderful and life-enhancing experience for everyone involved. Find out more
As part of the Union of Kingston Students and Kingston University's Disability Awareness Day, the Opportunities Fund helped to initiate British Sign Language courses for Kingston students. It has proved to be immensely popular with all the spaces filling immediately.
The provision of eight state-of-the-art robots that give computing and electronics students a hands-on introduction to their courses. These robots have also proved to be a fabulous addition to the University's Robot Club.
Future Shape is an initiative that pilots educational events and workshops culminating in an exhibition at the Stanley Picker Gallery. Kingston's art and design students were involved with encouraging and guiding pupils from local primary schools in their artistic endeavours. Find out more
