What is massage therapy?

Massage is the manipulation of the body's soft tissue. The techniques are most commonly applied with the hands, elbows and forearms. The purpose of massage is generally for the treatment of body stress or pain.

How might it help me?

Massages can be calming and relaxing. They can help to reduce stress-inducing hormones, while increasing other hormones that have a positive effect on the body.

Massage can help with back pain, headaches, depression, anxiety, sports injuries and much more.

Sophie, the massage therapist, describes herself as having an empathetic nature which she believes has a positive impact on the service she provides. She has worked in a variety of settings and specialises in Aromatherapy, Indian head, Swedish massage and pregnancy massage.
