Fees and bursaries

Here you can find out more details on fees for this course, as well as any funding opportunities available to you for this course. Please note that fees are subject to confirmation and may change.

Tuition fees

This course is offered in part-time mode of study only and fees are charged on a modular basis.

As a guide, a Home (UK and EU) student studying 60 credits (50% equivalent – four modules) will be charged £1,644 in 2010/11. Tuition fees for international students are available by emailing Credit Control.

Please note that fees are subject to confirmation and may change. They will increase in line with inflation each year.

UK and EU students who do not already hold an honours degree can apply for a mean-tested grant for tuition fees which will cover a proportion of the fees, but not the full amount. The grant does not have to be repaid.

The fee grant you may be eligible for is as follows (based on 60 credits):

Less than £16,845

£820

Between £16,845 and £25,420

£770–£50

More than £25,420

(Figures are subject to confirmation and may change.)

If you receive the maximum tuition fee grant of £820, you will also be able to apply to the Student Funding Service at the University for additional fee support and a part-time student bursary which will cover the rest of the tuition fees. If you do not receive the maximum tuition fee grant, you will not be eligible for this additional support.

Living costs

There is no support for living costs. Most students on this course also work either full or part time.

A small grant of up to £265 is available to students from England whose household income is less than £28,065.

Applying for funding
