About this course
Why choose this course?
If you are interested in business but would like to focus your studies on human resource management, this course is ideal. It provides a balance of academic theory and practical application, together with an optional work placement year in which you can develop your skills within real business situations.
What will you study?
In studying core business and HR disciplines, you will also gain an insight into how people work in organisations – their motivation, group dynamics and leadership qualities. You will also explore the management of human resources, contextual influences such as employment legislation, and the role that human resources play in meeting the strategic goals of organisations. Successful completion of the four-year honours programme leads to Licentiate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
All our business courses have a shared first year so you can easily transfer to the second year of a different course if your interests change.
