About this course
Why choose this course?
Kingston’s Illustration and Animation course is designed to develop highly individual approaches to the creation of descriptive images for both print and moving image. Students from this degree have consistently produced internationally recognised, award-winning illustration and animation.
What will you study?
Good draftsmanship and painting skills are encouraged as the fundamental basis for all your development, with an emphasis on drawing both on location and in the life room. You can choose to remain broadly based during the course or begin to specialise in illustration or animation. Whatever option you select, we aim to give you an understanding of text, image, narrative and sequence. Your work throughout the course will be supported by historical and theoretical studies.
