Knights Park LRC 2011 - February 2012

The Knights Park LRC will be moving back to its brand new location on the ground floor at Knights Park from the 6 February.

KP@JG will remain open the whole week, although there will be reduced access to stock and study spaces. We aim to complete the move with minimum disruption and will only be closing the weekend of the 11-12 February.

The new LRC will open on the 13 February 2012.

Building work to transform the Quadrangle Courtyard at Knights Park into a modern new LRC has begun. The new LRC will be opening in January 2012 and will offer a significant improvement to facilities.

Knights Park LRC will be moving to temporary accommodation this year from 21 May 2011 until January 2012, while the new Knights Park LRC is being constructed.

The Knights Park Special Collection and the majority of the Knight Park journals have been moved to Penrhyn Road LRC. The journals are stored in the rolling racking shelves on the ground floor at Penrhyn Road LRC. The Special Collection will be housed in the Penrhyn Road LRC Archives. Access to these must be booked in advance. Further details on viewing Archive materials.

16 May 2011: The Knights Park LRC will remain open this week, however access to the book stock will be restricted.

5.30pm 20 May 2011: The Knights Park LRC will CLOSE. There will be no access to the LRC stock or facilities until the 6 June, except for the journals and Special Collection held in Penrhyn Road LRC.

8.30am 1 June 2011 – KP@JG: The interim Knights Park LRC will open on the ground floor of the John Galsworthy Building on the Penrhyn Road campus. The temporary LRC will continue to offer access to the majority of the Knights park collection, including books and journals, study spaces and copying facilities. Penrhyn Road LRC will continue to provide access to Knights Park print journals and special collections, as well as additional study spaces and photocopiers.

February 2012: The new Knights Park LRC opens.
