Pre-arrival information: Arriving in the UK

We know that arriving in a new country can be exciting but also a bit scary, so we offer a free airport pick-up service before the main intakes.

We also arrange a number of welcome events to help familiarise you with your new surroundings and make new friends. These take place several days before your classes start, so you can adjust to your new environment, catch up on any lost sleep and sort out any personal matters.

At the airport

You will have to go through both Passport Control (immigration) and a Customs check when you land in the UK. You may also need to register with the police after you have arrived in the UK.

Accommodation

Please note that you cannot move into our halls of residence until Monday 23 January 2012. If you're arriving before then you'll need to arrange other accommodation. Please contact Accommodation Services for advice.
