Mexico
Welcome to the country information section for international students from Mexico.
This guide is for Mexican students interested in studying at Kingston University for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
Studing in the UK
Students from Mexico often choose to attend university in an English-speaking country to improve their language skills and obtain a prestigious qualification that will set them apart in the job market. Many choose the United States because of its geographic proximity.
However, the UK's teaching system offers a big advantage over the US system – most bachelors degrees in the UK are three years in duration and masters degrees are one year in duration. Students focus more closely on their subject of study and complete fewer general education classes and electives than in the US. This means that you can complete your degree in a shorter amount of time and therefore pay a year's less tuition fees than you would if you studied in the US. British degrees are recognised around the world and are considered to be of the highest quality.

Top-quality teaching
Students from Mexico are attracted to Kingston University by its international reputation in teaching quality, supportive learning environment and proximity to London. Kingston is one of the top universities for teaching in the UK and has achieved strong results in national assessments of teaching quality.
In 2010, The Sunday Times noted that "Kingston has one of the best teaching records of the country's modern universities with 15 subjects rated excellent under the now abandoned teaching assessment programme. It sets out to make sure students have transferable skills and offers a range of work-based courses."
Kingston has some of the best graduate employment figures in the UK. We ensure that our courses teach you work-related skills and are relevant to today's work environment.
Kingston University has welcomed students from Mexico into many of the degree courses across our five faculties including Business and Law; Art Design and Architecture; Arts and Social Sciences; Science, Engineering and Computing; and Health and Social Care Sciences.
