This guide isĀ for students from Sri Lanka interested in studying at Kingston University.

Studying at Kingston

Kingston University has welcomed students from Sri Lanka into many departments, including Engineering, Computing, Business and Science. Kingston University is extremely well known in Sri Lanka as a result of our long-standing and valued relationship with the Asian Aviation Centre. As a result, we have many Sri Lankans studying on our engineering degree programmes in aircraft maintenance in particular, but also in aerospace and mechanical engineering.

Kingston is the UK university with the 11th highest number of Sri Lankan students studying on our courses. A number of Sri Lankans have been awarded our international scholarships in recent years in recognition of their excellent academic abilities and have performed very well on our courses.

Academic excellence

Students from Sri Lanka are attracted to Kingston University by its international reputation in teaching quality, supportive learning environment and proximity to London.

In 2010, The Sunday Times noted that "Kingston has one of the best teaching records of the country's modern universities with 15 subjects rated excellent under the now abandoned teaching assessment programme. It sets out to make sure students have transferable skills and offers a range of work-based courses." It was also noted in the The Times newspaper that "Kingston boasts the third largest engineering faculty in London."

In-country visits

We visit Sri Lanka at least once a year and look forward to meeting you there.
