International Study Centre opens at Penrhyn Road
A new study centre for international students has opened at Penrhyn Road. The centre is a partnership between the University and Study Group, which is a provider of foundation and preparation courses for international students in the UK. It is the Study Group’s first London-based International Study Centre (ISC).
The ISC offers international students, who do not meet direct entry requirements, specialist preparation for several undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Kingston. After successful completion of their course the students will progress to select bachelors or masters level study at Kingston.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr David Mackintosh said: “We have always been very proactive in the direct recruitment of overseas students at degree level; however, the ability to complete a preparatory year of study within a university environment is vital for many overseas students who wish to study further in the UK, particularly those arriving from countries that may not have the standard 13-year education system seen in England.
"Study Group has the expertise to deliver bespoke courses, and has high progression rates from its other ISCs to university programmes and, importantly, also shares our belief that your reputation is only as good as the service you provide to your students.”
