International Arrivals and Orientation

At Kingston University we offer a comprehensive programme of orientation events to help you transition into your new life in the UK.

Here are details of the events and services that we offer as part of the International Arrivals and Orientation for international, postgraduate and Visiting students for the January 2018 intake.

Airport pick-up service

We offer a free airport pick-up service for students whose accommodation is in the local area.

International Arrivals Lounge

On Wednesday 3 January, our special lounge is available for you to meet other students; use our facilities; collect a free lunch pack and phone home for free.

International Orientation

As an international student, you'll have some extra needs and matters to attend to when you arrive, so our International Orientation is designed to introduce you to the University and Kingston upon Thames, familiarise you with your new surroundings and provide important information.

Visiting students' activities

If you're an Erasmus Exchange, Study Abroad or International Exchange student there are some additional events and activities that you're required to attend.

Collection of Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) and police registration

If you're coming to the UK on a visa you'll need to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) within ten days of your arrival in the UK, and in order to enrol on your course. For a small percentage of international students, you may also need to register with the police within seven days of arrival.
