International Arrivals and Orientation

At Kingston University we offer a comprehensive programme of orientation events to help you transition into your new life in the UK.

Here are details of the events and services that were on offer as part of the International Arrivals and Orientation for international postgraduate and Visiting students for the January 2017 intake.

Please note: the September International Arrivals and Orientation events take place on a larger scale than for the January intakes. Details of the September 2017 International Arrivals and Orientation events will be available soon.

International Arrivals Lounge

Our special lounge is available for you to meet other students; use our facilities; collect a free lunch pack and phone home for free.

International Orientation

Our international orientation seminars for postgraduate students will provide you with a great introduction to life at Kingston.

Social events

Come along to our free welcome reception to meet other students and make friends. Visiting students will also be invited to the free Windsor day trip.

Visiting students' activities

If you're an Erasmus Exchange, Study Abroad or International Exchange student there are some additional events and activities that you're required to attend.

Collection of Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) and police registration

If you're coming to the UK on a visa you'll need to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) within ten days of your arrival in the UK, and in order to enrol on your course. For a small percentage of international students, you may also need to register with the police within seven days of arrival.
