Summer Pre-sessional English course

We can arrange self-catering accommodation for you in a University hall of residence.

This summer Long Course students will be housed in Clayhills halls of residence, Medium Course students will be housed in Middle Mill halls of residence, and Short Course students in Seething Wells halls of residence.

Clayhills and Seething Wells are a walk away from the Penrhyn Road campus and Kingston town centre and offer a single room with en-suite, with shared use of kitchen.

Middle Mill is a very short walk away from the Penrhyn Road campus and Kingston town centre and offers a single room, with shared use of kitchen, showers and toilets.

In all halls of residence, you provide your own cooking equipment and do your own cleaning.

How to book

If you would like University accommodation before the start of the course, there are a limited number of rooms available for an extra cost. Please contact the Course Administrator for prices and booking as soon as possible. Alternatively, we can provide you with a list of bed and breakfasts in the area.

Further Information

Standard Pre-sessional English course accommodation runs from the Sunday before the start of your course until the Saturday after the course finishes. If you are going to continue your studies at Kingston, you will need to move in to your main accommodation for the academic year (a room in halls if you have applied for this, or private accommodation that you have arranged), no later than the Saturday.

Please note: Students attending the Long Pre-sessional English course must move rooms after their first two to three weeks.

Main course accommodation

If you require hall of residence accommodation for the academic year, you must apply for this separately on the form sent to you by the main University Admissions Office.

Autumn Pre-sessional English course
