Pre-sessional English course: Course fees and accommodation

Students of Kingston University qualify for reduced tuition fees. This applies to:

  • Existing Kingston University students
  • Students who have been offered a place on a full-time course of study at Kingston University

Non-Kingston University students

We offer places on the Pre-sessional English course to students who do not plan to study at Kingston University (fees shown in brackets).

Pre-sessional English course accommodation

Self-catering accommodation in a University hall of residence is available on the long, medium and short Summer pre-sessional courses, and it may be available on the Summer Extended course and the Autumn pre-sessional courses (subject to availability).

Please let us know if you are interested, and we will enquire for you. In all cases, roomsooms will be allocated according to availability.

Please note: In all halls of residence, you provide your own cooking equipment and do your own cleaning.

How to book

Please indicate on your application form if you would like halls accommodation. 

Further information

Standard Pre-sessional English course accommodation is available from the Sunday before the start of your course until the Saturday after the course finishes. Please note that students may be required to move rooms a number of weeks after their course starts.  

If you would like University accommodation before the start of the course, there may be rooms available for an extra cost. Please contact the Course Administrator for prices and booking as soon as possible. Advice on finding private or bed and breakfast accommodation is also available.

Pre-sessional course accreditation

Our pre-sessional English course is accredited by the British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP). This organisation sets rigorous criteria to ensure that courses in English language and study skills for speakers of other languages are of a high standard and provide an excellent quality of service.
