English language programmes

We provide a number of courses to help you develop your academic English language skills:

• Pre-sessional English language course
  Improve your English language skills and learn about study methods and life in the UK.
  
  
• International foundation year (IFY)
  Gain the language and/or academic skills required to enter a Kingston University undergraduate course.
  
  
• English language support programme
  After you enrol, this free programme offers a range of academic English courses and tutorial support throughout the academic year.
  


• Pre-masters programme
  Achieve the language and/or academic skills required for a masters degree at Kingston University.
  
  
• Art and Design with English 60/40
  Improve your English language skills and progress your portfolio to a level that is required for of our Art and Design courses.

IELTS examination

If you need to study for your IELTS examination in Britain, we recommend you use a British Council-accredited English language school. The University has an excellent relationship with three accredited schools:

• London Study Centre
• Saint George International
  
• Wimbledon School of English
  

All three offer university English language programmes designed to help you reach the required level of English for your chosen course.
