Welcome to Kingston

Acceptance of offer

An offer of employment has been sent to you. Please confirm your acceptance of this offer by returning the acceptance form (Word) to jobs@kingston.ac.uk.

First day of employment

On your first day of work please report to River House (PDF) at your allocated time and bring with you:

  • all new members of staff are required to produce an original passport/full UK birth certificate – please refer to the Home Office website for information to demonstrate your right to work in the UK;
  • a previous payslip;
  • continuous service verification (if applicable);
  • your P45 (if you do not currently have one then we will ask you to complete a P46 when you arrive);
  • evidence of highest qualifications; and
  • pension forms (available in pension information below).

Work health assessment

Please complete the work health assessment form (Word) and return to occ-health@kingston.ac.uk.

Pension information

As an employee of Kingston University you have a statutory entitlement to be a member of the relevant pension scheme.

Eligible members of academic staff are automatically entered into the Teachers' Pensions Scheme. Please read the Teachers' Pensions Scheme document (Word), complete the relevant forms and bring with you on your first day.

Members of support staff will automatically become a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme, which is administered by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. Please read the Local Government Pension Scheme document (Word), complete the relevant forms and bring with you on your first day.

Disclosure and Barring Service

If your role requires you to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau) clearance, an application form and relevant paperwork will be sent to you under separate cover. Once received please make an appointment to come to River House with the completed form and valid identity documents.
