- Promote a broad range of events for all ages, including short story, poetry and writing for performance competitions
- Develop an outreach programme comprising workshops and authors’ talks in local schools, Kingston University, the Rose Theatre, Kingston Museum, All Saints Parish Church, Borders and John Lewis
- Promote the work of Kingston University and the Rose Theatre, Kingston.
- Raise money for local good causes including donations to the Rose Theatre and All Saints Parish Church and to other reading-related charities including The Book Trade Charity. The Festival has now donated over £30,000.
