A World Beyond Carbon

Change is in the air – literally. The move from a carbon-based society that is harming the Earth’s thin protective layer of atmosphere will have consequences that impinge on all aspects of our lives. James Bruges, author of The Big Earth Book, will talk about some controversial possibilities.

Biography

James Bruges, A World Beyond CarbonMy childhood was spent in India. I studied at the Architectural Association and worked as an architect in London and Khartoum and then set up my own practice in Bristol. I left this seven years ago to concentrate on radical issues of the money system, the environment and power. My wife and I are trustees of a vegetable box scheme that is local to our part of Bristol. We are both Quakers and visit India on a regular basis to keep in touch with a number of Gandhian NGOs.
