MBA India
The Kingston MBA is now available to study in India. This full-time programme is delivered in two parts:
- Part I (four months) is delivered at the Institute of International Studies (IIS) Mumbai, part of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM).
- Part II and the MBA Project (eight months) are delivered at the Kingston Business School in the UK.
About SKVM

SVKM is an experienced provider of business courses, principally at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies University and the Narsee Monjeee College of Commerce and Economics. Through the Institute of International Studies (IIS), Kingston and SVKM already have an established partnership, collaborating in the delivery of our Business Administration BBA(Hons) and International Business BA(Hons).
IIS provides state-of-art classrooms with the latest e-learning environment. Students benefit from the input of both a dedicated teaching faculty and visiting speakers, ensuring that they keep up to date with the latest industry thinking. IIS provides mentoring to prepare students for the challenges of today’s competitive environment and encourages them to participate in various extra-curricular activities and management festivals.

Programme structure
The MBA India programme consists of two parts:
- Part I (Mumbai)
The first part of the MBA India develops a foundation in general management, including skills and perspectives across business function areas. It is taught entirely in Mumbai at the IIS, part of the SVKM, and includes seven integrated modules:
- Information Management
- Financial Resource Management
- Managing People and Organisations
- Business and Financial Environment
- Operations Management
- Marketing
- Strategic Management I
These develop your understanding of both theory and practice, enabling you to achieve a corporate perspective of your enterprise.
You also undertake an induction session, following the format used at Kingston University. The key aims of the induction session will be to familiarise you with Kingston practices, resources, regulations and pedagogic practices. It covers:
- Programme Introduction
- Regulations and Procedures
- Computing Enrolment
- StudySpace and E-resources
- Pastoral Support System
- Assessment and Examinations
- Team Building
- Elective Choices
- Transition Arrangements
- Part II (Kingston)
Part II is taught entirely at Kingston Business School. It further develops your skills in strategic management, building on the foundation established at IIS to provide a deeper understanding of practical management issues. You can develop your particular interests through optional modules and the MBA Project.
You undertake three core modules (Leadership and Professional Development; Strategic Management II; and the MBA Project), plus four of the following optional modules:
- Business Forecasting and Modelling
- Corporate Finance
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Global Business
- International Marketing
- Management Consultancy
- Management of Change
- Project Management
- Services Marketing
- Strategic Operations Management
- Strategic Management of E-Business
- Managing Corporate Social Responsibility

A second, shorter induction session introduces you to this part of the programme with the key aim of familiarising you with Kingston Business School resources, such as the Nightingale Resources Centre. The following components will be integral to the Kingston Business School induction:
- Introduction to Part II of the Programme

- Introduction to KBS full-time Part I cohort
- Careers Sessions
- Elective briefings
