This module will be of particular interest to students wishing
to follow a carrer in the film or tv visual effects industry.
It introduces the principles of 2D digital imagery in both
raster and vector forms and students will learn how to blend
and composite digital imagery in both it's static and moving
form.
During workshop sessions students will use professional
image and video editing software to a high level of sophistication.
Techniques used in the film and television industry such
as chroma keying and colour correction will be taught enabling
the combination of imagery from a variety of sources to
be seemlessly combined.
Additionally digital audio synthesis and manipulation techniques
will be introduced.
Assesment is by coursework and in class test.
