Amy goes from bar to Bar

Photo of Law graduate Amy CroftKingston University law graduate Amy Croft will soon be swapping a part-time job serving in a pub for a bar career of a different kind. The 27 year old, who collected her degree earlier this year, is about to start training to become a barrister.

Amy is busily saving money to pay for her postgraduate training at Bar School by working in a Twickenham pub. The daughter of pub landlords, she knows a thing or two about pulling a pint and has previously worked in the business as a manager.

Amy has no intention of being sidetracked from her true calling to the Bar though and is looking forward to mastering the finer points of the law.She credits her course at Kingston’s Law School with giving her a thorough grounding for her new career.

“The university was a great place to study, particularly because it gave me the opportunity to meet people from so many diverse backgrounds,” she said. "My degree programme has well and truly prepared me for the real working world.”
