Kingston wins Creativeworks awards

Kingston University is delighted to announce it has been awarded two projects in the latest round of places in the Creativeworks researcher in residence scheme which enables a doctoral student or early career academic researcher to do a short-term work placement with a company from within London's creative economy.

Helen Storey Foundation

Robert Knifton, a post doctoral rsearcher in the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture will work with the Helen Storey Foundation (HSF) – a not-for-profit arts organisation – which is seeking to catalogue its extensive and unique archive for educational and public use online.

The work will involve organising, digitising, mobilising and maximising HSF archives – to make this material accessible and available for public exhibitions and events with an educational component.

The Sorrell Foundation

Katherine Appleford, a lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences will work with The Sorrell Foundation – an organisation dedicated to inspiring creativity in young people.

The work will involve assessing the impact of the National Art & Design Saturday Club on young people, institutions and industry.
