Overview

Dr Curley is a chartered engineer who has worked at Kingston University since 1996. His current research is primarily concerned with finite element analysis of materials for space applications and control electronics.  He lectures on aircraft electrical systems, aircraft communications, digital signal processing and microelectronics, as well as teaching on planetary mobility systems, electric propulsions and network communications. Other areas of interest include research on how to use structural adhesives to bond different substances in aerospace systems to each other and how to improve fatigue performance in such systems.  He has previously worked for an aerospace company  where he spent time in the system test-facility fault-finding - to component level - electronic systems for aircraft. He also specialised in design and development of new aircraft such as the A320 and A340 models.

Dr Curley has published nearly 40 papers in his field.
