Dr Almog is a senior lecturer in international relations and politics. Her research covers the Arab-Israeli conflict and conflict resolution in the Middle East. She is a specialist in Israeli foreign policy. Dr Almog is a member of the Middle Eastern Initiative for Research, Co-operation, Understanding and Mediation and the European Association for Israeli Studies. Her PhD examined Israeli-British diplomatic relations from 1955 up to the Iraqi revolution in July 1958 and its impact on the Middle East and Anglo-Israeli relations. Dr Almog also has an interest in the Suez War and its regional impact, and the Palestinian refugee question.
